About Murray

Murray holds an ATPL, and is a Grade 1 Instructor specialising in formation, tailwheel, and Beechcraft types. Life Member of the American Bonanza Society and ABS Instructor, recognised in the US and worldwide.

Murray has nearly 35 years experience as a pilot and instructor, with over 100 aircraft types and around 5000 logged hours, 400 in formation.

Murray also has many years experience as a Formation Organiser (and participant), including the Lilydale Flying Show 2018 and various annual Anzac Day Formations and Displays.

Formation highlights for Murray include participating in the large formation at the first Avalon Airshow 1992, and in the John Lindsay Memorial Flight.

About Ray

Ray Taylor has been a member of Peninsula Aero Club for 29 years and has served on several committees during this time. Over the past 20 years Ray has played a leading role on the organizing committees for the popular biennial Tyabb Air Shows.

Ray holds a Private Pilots Licence with 900 hours logged and currently flies an RV-6 and Starduster SA-300.

He holds formation and aerobatic endorsements and has organized and participated in formation displays at several Tyabb Air Shows. He has also participated in several formation training clinics.


Paul Canavan

About Paul

Paul began flying in 1975 and served on the Board of RVAC for almost 20 years. He holds a CPL with over 1400 hours (over 400 hours in formation). Paul is a Grade 3 Instructor, specialising in Formation Training, and is endorsed for 20 plus aircraft types.

A member of the Australian Champion formation team, The RVAC Eagles, for over a decade, Paul also proudly co-organised The Young Eagles program.

Paul has also served on the Board of the Royal Federation of Aero Clubs of Australia (2006 - 2018) and as Victorian Director of the RFACA.

An active ALAC competitor for over 20 years, Paul has participated in many large formation events including: First Avalon Air Show 1992, Moorabbin Air-Fair 1994, Moorabbin Air Show 1998, John Lindsay Memorial Flight and numerous ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day Flights
